No album artwork for Spotify? Seriously? It stopped working a long time ago and you still haven’t figured out how to fix it. Other apps have, so why can’t you? It also displays the wrong track time.

This app is great. Exacly what I was looking for. Very simple, small, and cheap. It does what it says. And it does it well ! Just one thing, I reallyd like to be able to jump further in a track by clicking on the timeline ;-) Thanks
This little guy looks and works just as intended - Im finally rid of these pesky ugly hacky tools which only supported either player.
The app simply doesnt launch
Thank You! This app is small but powerful. Love it!!!
Hi, in a future update I suggest implementing the possibility of moving Skip Tunes inside the menu bar holding cmd. Good app otherwise.
fast forward or rewind doesn’t work for spotify. still No UPDATE
I rarely write reviews except for warn other users. Though the concept is good, all I expereince is the application becomes unusable for anything except for pressing the pause and next button. The dropdown button to reveal the album cover, buttons and even settings does nothing majorty of the time. I end up having to manually kill the PID from Terminal to regain any control of the app. I am using the Rdio setup. Devs - if you want any further information - @mikegabriel
It is a good application and I didnt have any of the problems reported by other customers. The bar design is particularly pleasant. I would recommend, however, to have a growl notification at the screen corner instead/in addition to the drop down menu which also looks very nice. I urge the developer to look at another app called (Players for iTune) which comes with a nice looking growl notification. I still favor Skip tunes because of its pretty look on the menu bar. Adding my requested feature will make me add the last star to my review.
The Old version of SkipTunes was better than this one. The new look is awesome, but I can barely change songs with it. please fix this.
nice app, clean and lite. two deal breaker :1. it wont display those album art that are not embedded in the mp3 files 2. doesnt support notification center on mountain lion.
A very neat and simple addon that does exactly what it claims. Pros - Compact design Beautiful art direction Full control of music Custom hotkeys Support for multiple music apps Cons - No option for a popup to display on song change (A hotkey to quickly open the menu will be added to the next version as per request) If you have a couple bucks to spare this application is definatly worth a look. It will only get better as time goes on.
Skip Tunes is so convenient to see what music is playing right now since the icon is always on your menu bar. My only small complaint is that album art does not show up when using Itunes Radio.
I have waited several months before I wrote this review in order to give the developers a chance to fix the issues I was having. To their credit, they are very responsive on their support website but, ultimately, the issues remain. Specifically, the App continues to quit after a track list finishes so you can’t use it to quickly open iTunes and start a new album/set of songs. Also, when the App doesn’t quit and disappear the menu bar icon is unresponsive after start up. I have to go in manually and start the App from launchpad. For an App that is supposed to simplify a task it frustrates in it’s lack of delivery. It is doubly frustrating because the App has tremendous potential. If it worked as it is supposed to it would be one of my favourites. In practice I cannot recommend Skip Tunes because of the persistent, reoccuring issues. I wish the developers all the best in their future initiatives and in getting this App working up to potential. They certainly have great ideas.
This app does NOT have functional consistency. It constantly stops working/crash on regular basis. If using on MBP. close lid, then open again, this app literally stops working. Right clicking on app to quit? Unfuncional. Does nothing. At all. Only option for you is to launch the active monitor to force quit the app, then launch it again. Clearly, this app requires frequent re-launch. There are more apps out which recieves constant software update by developer. This is an abandoned app. Spend your money elsewhere.
Great app for people who love music and who listen while working on their computer. Highly recommended.
As per subject… this happens on Mountain Lion.
Please add ability to control volume and switch between albums
.... for feel it perfect I would like to have in the control panel the audio control bar. This because I use more speakers through Airport and the volume buttons on the MacBook Pro dont control them. The iTunes volume bar does it! Whit some code more, this little and cheap app will be 5 stars!!!!
Its a good add-on, the one you think Apple should add right away to OS X. It has vegy good graphics and its cheap. BUT: A srubbing search bar should be implemented, or it is as useful as the three buttons on top-right of the keyboard.
