Wow thank you so much i use this so much great help there should also be a back button not only a skip button
Edit: Contacted support and they seem to have fixed the bug mentioned below, so disregard my previous review. Props to Skip Tunes staff for having an excellent support staff! This app is great as a concept, especially with full screen apps in Lion/Mountain Lion since I can control iTunes without switching desktops. The app does do what its supposed to, but it does not do it well. The time between clicking on the icon in the menubar and being able to use the controls is far too long; I just get a beachball for several seconds before I can do anything. Same goes with using any of the controls. Click pause and the song pauses five seconds later. The window also hangs around for a while after clicking away from it. The app also fails to display any of my album art. Im pretty disappointed that such a simple app has such a major flaw; Its practically unusable. Bottom line: Wait for this app to get a few updates and polish before you buy it. I cant imagine itll take too long since its such a simple app, but you might as well hold on to your $1.99 for now.
The app is great, but there are some features that could be added. There should be an option to add star ratings for songs directly through the app instead of having to navigate back to iTunes. Also, there should be a way to choose the playlist you want to listen to from the menu bar. This app could essentially replace the need for opening iTunes to control your music with a few additional features. Otherwise, great simple app to control your music without having to open another full screen app.
Does everything I want. No complaints!
A good app, worth the money. I use "spaces" or whatever its called now in 10.8 and got this app to have instant access to iTunes & Pandora no matter which space Im in. It works great, so glad to have found it. One addition I would love is a volume control for the iTunes/Pandora volume (not the Mac volume), then it would be five stars!
Constantly crashes, extremely buggy and unreliable. Save your hard-earned $$$ and look for one of the better, more stable options in the App Store.
simple and unobtrusive way to see whats playing and skip tracks. perfect.
Great app. Very handy. Works like it should. Just used it 2 seconds ago. Could use volume control for Airplay puleeze?
It gets the job done. Please add rating feature!
This status bar app is perfect for my multitasking! Well developed!
Great little app. Very simple and does exactly what it should. I would like a toggel where it could show the name of the song next to the icon in the menu bar but the app is great without that. Highly recommended.
This app is simple, straightforward, attractive, and does its job well. The only thing I would improve is to have the app start and quit with iTunes instead of starting at computer startup and sitting idle in the menubar when iTunes isnt running.
Exactly what I wanted: something that makes up for spotify’s lack of notification center support.
BEST productivity tool on the Mac!!! Simple and Wonderful for listening to audiofeeds/podcasts/class lectures etc.
Great app to have around to manage your music. Keeps all the info in the menu bar uncluttering my desktop!!! Nice work!
Simple to set up, icon changes color when you have new mail, fairly easy switching between gmail acts, shows the mail categories. Very useful if you use gmail as much as I do. Super happy with this app.
Great app. Stop nagging.
This is a very nice menubar controller for iTunes, providing all of the essential controls and info display without a lot of clutter. Having user-configurable shortcut keys and optional menubar controls (play/pause and skip) are nice touches. I would have given the app 5 stars if not for a current problem where album artwork doesn’t display when using iTunes Radio.
Love the new update, however there is no longer a way to disable the notification that pops up with the title of the song. Add this back please!
